  ZIMBABWE

ZIMBABWE still remains one of Africa's best safari destinations. Despite the political woes in this country, discerning safari goers still visit this country in good numbers. Tragic events here have made media headlines around the world - but right now, the country is as safe and unspoiled to visit as it was in the 80's.

Few other counties on the continent allow game walking safaris where your professional guide is armed for your safety and the Zimbabwe Professional Guides licence is still the most highly esteemed and sought after on the continent.

National Parks in Zimbabwe are privatised and none of this revenue ends up in the hands of the government.

  HIGHLIGHTS

This is a safari which we've specially put together for people who like to walk. One of the best ways to escape the vehicle view of the bush is to seek adventure by canoe and on foot!

  • 4 nights in Matusadona on the shores of& Lake Kariba. Here the lions are abundant and it's one of the best places to see endangered black rhino. Walks, gameviewing by boat and game drives.
  • Mana Pools where you stay in a tented camp. Bush walks and open vehicle game drives. Lots of elephant, hippo and antelope.
  • A 3-day safari by canoe on the fabled Zambezi which gets you very close to snorting hippos, sunning crocs, and big tuskers wading at water's edge.
  • Terrific game walks in three national parks that showcase all the magic of Africa: Matusadona, Mana Pools, and Hwange.
  • Only six people on each trip (early sign-up advised!)
  • Charter flights replace drives between parks, and you enjoy a great mix of exclusive luxury lodges and private camps.
